Many children with cerebral palsy or brain injuries can have tight hamstrings which causes irregular walking such as toes and / or heels up.
The main benefits of the stander are: Combined, the above benefits will strengthen the hips and legs and can also help to improve fine motor movement if the child is given other tasks to do while using the stander. Click the thumbnails below to see the therapy in use.

Therapy 


At CPPC, the stander is one of the key types of therapy we use to help correct this. The stander is a wooden frame that both supports the child and helps them maintain a good posture. Children typically spend approximately 30 minutes per session in the stander.
