Dear Ricky, we can only assist with charitable funding for clients here in the UK. Perhaps there is a contact in the embassy here who might be able to help you. Sorry we can't say yes straight away to you. |

I am the president of a therapeutic riding stable in Alberta Canada. I found your web site's link on our's when I googled humblehorse. The name of our association is The Humblehorse Therapeutic Riding Association. I would appreciate any info that you can forward to us. We are just starting out our programs( in business for 1 year) and any feedback that we can get would really help us to keep our programs at the cutting edge of technology. Due to the fact that we are non-profit, we need all the informal help that we can receive. Thank you for your attention. If you require any more info, please let me know.

Dear Cindy, There are similar programs in the USA. We have a very friendly and homely centre here based on the Polish methods. Our American clients like to roll therapy into a holiday so visiting England famous attractions as well as receiving excellent therapy. |

I was just Looking up CP sites and came across yours. I have a 6 yr old daughter with splastic quadrapligic CP. It was caused by delay of birth. She is learning to sit up but can not do so by herself. She walks with a gait trainer and has Dafos(braces). She tries very hard to do what the other children are doing. She has been learning to use a Dynovox Communication device to communicate at school. She has her hands mostly fisted except when she is really relaxed. What kind of therapy would you suggest. We have tried hypo-therapy(hourse riding) and she loves it.

Dear Cindy, our therapy works with all severities of CP. We would strengthen her postural muscles to enable her to sit properly. She obviously needs to learn to perform tasks without using extension or reflex, only whilst relaxed. Horse riding is excellent but you need more targeted and consistant physiotherapy which we can provide here. We already have USA clients and can provide accommodation as well as the therapy. |
